Leading Age has introduced a new conference for senior executives. The PEAK Leadership Summit, to be held April 23-25 in Washington, DC, will feature C-level education content, high-caliber speakers, and expert-led strategy sessions through specialized education formats.
"As not-for-profit providers of aging services, our members are crucibles of innovation," said Larry Minnix, Leading Age president & CEO. "This PEAK Leadership Summit is designed to be an incubator of ideas for leadership teams to learn from experts and each other about how to expand the world of possibilities for aging."
The summit features for 2012:
- Education Sessions: In-depth panel discussions developed around a variety of strategic topics relevant to leaders in aging services. Format allows for shared learning among peers.
- Learning Circles: Experts in the field explore key issues facing not-for-profit providers. Adult learning methodology and interactive nature offers a unique opportunity to delve deeper into specific issues. This year's Learning Circles feature medical ethicist Michael Gillette and health care reform thought leader Kathleen Griffin.
- Workshops: High-profile authors guide half-day intensive study of their book. Group discussions and hands-on exercises are designed to enable teams to apply the skills and ideas presented. This year's Workshops feature best-selling authors Dan Heath, Leslie Crutchfield and Jason Jennings.
- Symposium: Case-study analysis of innovative business models being developed by LeadingAge members. Expanded presentation format facilitates peer-to-peer sharing of big ideas.
- General Sessions: Nationally recognized speakers provide insightful, inspirational and motivating presentations. The content highlights the leadership and advocacy themes of the conference. This year's General Sessions feature author Dan Heath and Washington insider Jim VandeHei.
Registration for Peak Leadership Summit will open on Feb. 6, 2012.
